SIR WOODPECKER (12) resumes for a leading stable and was last seen spacing the Kyneton Maidens on debut. He has been gelded and brings a trial win from The Heath. Draws to control the race, and Coffey's booking is a further indication that they mean business. ELEGANT MAN (3) was caught wide without cover at Kyneton but had impressed prior when narrowly beaten at Echuca. That reads well, and he can get back into the money. LEXTON (10) won a trial and was only beaten 2.3L at Geelong on debut. He draws awkwardly today but has early speed. Fitter and better suited. ARCANDAM (7) debuts for the Bowman yard and has looked good at the jumpouts. Has the rails gate to use, and the betting will be key.
