With an apparent lack of pace in the race, the unexposed SOLE SOLUTION may be able to dominate this from the front, at a course that often suits handy types. He showed a likeable attitude when making-all at Sandown earlier this month and looks the type to improve now tackling staying distances. Patriotik has notable form in the book this season and he should benefit from this greater stamina test. Hititi looks solid, while Kaminsas is worth a go at this trip.

Course winner was better than ever when making a winning reappearance at Newbury (3m) under Freddie Mitchell in November but has struggled from this sort of mark since, never looked like winning when seventh of 12 in at Windsor last time. Others appear to be better handicapped.

Useful hurdler was second in this race last year from a 3 lb lower mark. Not disgraced over fences this season but proved himself more effective when returned to smaller obstacles (second of 12 in handicap at Exeter). Handicapped to his best but is very consistent and merits consideration.

Typically strong-travelling sort won a Grade 2 as a novice and an Aintree handicap on return. Showed a different side when digging deep to finish fourth at Haydock (18.9f, soft) in November and looks worth a go at this trip. Interesting but does need to bounce back from below-par effort last month.

Ended long losing run when easy winner at Uttoxeter in testing conditions last month and ran at least as well on first crack at a staying trip when fourth of 17 in a well-run handicap Ascot (23.5f). That gives hope he can handle this greater stamina test and he's one to consider.

Has some notable form this season, finishing fifth in a strong renewal of the Silver Trophy at Chepstow (19.5f) in October and chasing home Red Dirt Road at Aintree on Boxing Day. Unsuited by sharper test at Ascot earlier this month, this greater test of stamina should be much more to his liking.

Fairly useful hurdler who enhanced her good record fresh when winning 8-runner handicap under this jockey at Sandown (19.8f, heavy) in December. Struggled from a 5 lb higher mark in a stronger race last month, and she may need to come back down the handicap to get her head in front again.

Lightly-raced dual bumper winner has progressed with each start over hurdles since returning from a long absence and plenty like about his victory at Sandown (19.8f, Heavy) on handicap debut, making-all and showing a game attitude. Unexposed and likely more improvement to come for this stamina test.

Landed a double on the Flat in May and returned to his best over hurdles when second of 11 in a handicap hurdle at Lingfield (23f) in December. Run of good form came to a halt when fifth at Warwick (25f, 35 days ago), and he has even more on his plate pitched into a stronger race.

    Verdict
Winner of a pair of handicap hurdles last season, including on testing ground at Newbury and bounced back on reappearance (had run well fresh previously) when finishing fourth in warm race from 3 lb out of the handicap (Sandown 23.5f). Respected but will find it a sharper test around this track.
