StarsCoin and Rewards Store removed - FAQ

PokerStars Rewards got a makeover, and as part of this update, we've removed StarsCoin and the Rewards Store.

Why have you made these changes?

After sound research into the topic, we gained valuable insight and extensive player feedback. Most players told us they'd prefer a direct form of reward over substitutes like StarsCoin.

As we're always listening and trying to get better, we've looked into alternatives. While StarsCoin served us well for many years, it seemed a bit out-of-date. It wasn't as intuitive or flexible as we'd expect from features nowadays.

In short, it was time for a change.

Why did StarsCoin have to go?

We've moved to a more transparent loyalty program with cash as the only reward type. Everybody knows its value, and it can be used universally, while StarsCoin was limited to use at the Rewards Store.

We're sure you agree that this boost in flexibility is a good thing.

And if you liked StarsCoin because it could be used to buy stuff in the Rewards Store, we can put your mind at ease. Feel free to now use your cash rewards to buy luxury Poker merch and PokerStars memorabilia at the PokerStars Store.

Can I withdraw the money credited directly from Chests?

If there's no regulatory restriction in place preventing bonus money from direct withdrawals, you can.

What happened to the Rewards Store?

The Rewards Store closed its doors for good.

But we won't leave you high and dry, because you still have the PokerStars Store.

This is a state-of-the-art marketplace for cool branded gadgets, the latest accessories and PokerStars-branded merch.

What happened to any left-over StarsCoin balance?

In case you didn't spend all your StarsCoin in the Rewards Store before it closed its doors, we converted your StarsCoin to cash.

• Platform currency USD: All remaining StarsCoin were converted at a rate of $0.01 per 1 StarsCoin
• Platform currency EUR: All remaining StarsCoin were converted at a rate of €0.01 per 1 StarsCoin

This happened automatically. You didn't have to do anything.

Feel free to spend this cash any way you like or withdraw it, if you haven't done so already.

What about the RSA token?

We can no longer offer the RSA token, now that the Rewards Store is closed.

One great alternative is the PokerStars PIN. With this, your account is also well protected. It's free and simple to activate.

If you already have an RSA token for your PokerStars account, you can relax as you're not affected by this change. Even if you haven't activated the token yet, you can whenever you're ready.
